Art of the Music Business Musical Adventures

Look Mom, I’m On the Cover of a Magazine!

2020 was a crazy year to be an independent musician and teacher but, like so many others, I was bound and determined to find new ways to stay connected.

I am very honored to be on the cover of the May 2021 issue of Minnesota Bluegrass Magazine!! 🎶

It’s an article about my attempts at keeping our music community connected online during the COVID lockdown of 2020, which I couldn’t have done without my partners in crime—
Ellen (Mother Banjo) Stanley and the Back Catalog Listening Party community, Eric & Clint of The High 48s and all the bands that played our 2021 Online Bluegrass Brunch Series, Alan Bengtson and his vision of the Land 10K Streams Festival and all of the people that came to hang out with us online!!

Also, a big shout out to Derek Johnson for writing this great piece and documenting this crazy moment in time. I’m so grateful to be part of such an amazing music community ❤️, it saved me this past year and reminded me why music is so damn important!!
