I’m excited to announce that I will be teaching a bluegrass band workshop with the The High 48s from 1-5pm on Oct. 17th!
While I will be doing some breakout sessions teaching the banjo students in the group, the workshop is really a crash course in playing and performing with others- super useful stuff that you won’t find in any books/DVDs.
Topics will include arranging songs and vocal harmonies, playing backup, playing solos, building repertoire and writing set lists. We’ll also talk a little about jam etiquette and how to jam at a bluegrass festival or pickin’ party.
